Is your 1.8/2.0TSI MQB VW/Audi tuned with Performance Software, such as APR, Unitronic, or Eurocharged? If so, you’ll be changing your spark plugs quite often (which we recommend upgrading.)
As a matter of fact, APR recommends changing your spark plugs every 10,000 to 15,000 miles to avoid misfires or rough-running issues when running even Stage 1 Performance Software.

In order to remove and replace spark plugs, you have to remove your vehicle’s Ignition Coils (which we also recommend upgrading.) The problem is that with the factory bolt set-up, you’re constantly running the risk of over-tightening the bolts, cross-threading them or otherwise damaging the threads inside the cylinder head.
As you can see in the video (00:55 Seconds), the threads were already damaged on this 2016 Volkswagen GTI (running Stage 2 APR Software.)
